There are federal assistance programs in place that can help assist you with your needs outside of your financial aid at Carolina.  Check out the programs below to learn more about the current offering available to students.

Snap in NC

North Carolina Food and Nutrition Services are available for all households with limited income and resources. A household may be one person living alone, a family, or several unrelated individuals cohabiting who buy and prepare meals together.

Double Bucks

Did you know that a lot of the local farmers markets allow you to use ‘double bucks’ to double up to get more fruits and veggies. You can have your SNAP benefits to go further at local farmers markets.

Partnership with Benefits Data Trust (BDT)

Benefits Data Trust (BDT), is a national nonprofit dedicated to modernizing access to public benefits. Our partnership and collaboration will help connect students with free application assistance for the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program, known as SNAP. More to come on this soon as outreach efforts begin to ramp up.
