Update on Withdrawal of OMB Memorandum and Financial Aid
Update on Withdrawal of OMB Memorandum and Financial Aid
On Thursday, January 29th, The White House withdrew OMB Memo M-25-13 and its order to freeze grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs. Students will receive financial assistance without interruption. Programs including Title IV Higher Education assistance (Federal Pell Grants, Subsidized/Unsubsidized/PLUS Loans, Federal Work-Study, SEOG etc.), Veteran’s, and GI bill benefits, will not be affected. Institutionally supported programs (Carolina Covenant, University Grants, Carolina Works, Academic Scholarships etc.) are also not impacted and students will continue to receive assistance at this time. The university will continue to follow the issue.
