Graduate Student Work-Study

Please note, graduate students are not automatically awarded Work-Study funding. To participate in the Work-Study Program as a graduate student, you would first email work-study@unc.edu to confirm that you are eligible for this type of need-based funding (i.e. you exhibit financial need, based on the FAFSA). If you are eligible, you would then:

• Locate a UNC faculty/staff member willing to create a position and serve as your supervisor.
• Complete the Annual Student Requirements.
• Have your supervisor complete the Annual Supervisor Requirements.
• Email work-study@unc.edu to confirm that the above are completed.

For students who are eligible for Work-Study, the standard award amount is $3,800 for the academic year. JobX is the only method for supervisors to hire Work-Study students so completion of the above Annual Requirements is needed to gain access to it.
